Mac OS 9.2.2 is basically a modular system that can load an easily modified extension set.

Windows has a spaghetti registry, and Mac OS X has countless daemons and agents. I also wanted to get meaningful tools and information to starving artists or beginning musicians that had little money. The reason I started the Mac OS 9 Lives site was because I recognized that there were musicians that utilized the aspects of the Classic Mac OS in their workflow, and that some of these tasks could not be easily accomplished or duplicated on other platforms. I would not consider myself as a "change-a-phobic", cheap, eccentric mac user that denies living in the present nor, would I consider myself stuck in the past due to an inability to learn new things. The Macs I currently use in my two Audio Recording project studios are several MDD G4 1.33 Ghz (with Xserve CPUs) running OS 9.2.2 and (4) mac Pro 8-Core Towers that all boot to Mac OS X 10.6, 10.8, and 10.10. Since I have had the opportunity (and the warehouse space) to store my computer collection, it has grown to over 100 Units with about 80 being Macs. I have been both a software and hardware consultant for small business, individuals, and have worked for a few major software labels. From PCs to Macs, from Novell networks to Windows Server 2008. I have worked with many personal computers and Networks on a daily basis since the late 80s.
